"Will" versus "going to"

How are "will" and "going to" similar?
Hi Saif, I answered a question similar to yours previously which I think will show you how they are similar and different.
First, generally speaking, both "will" and "going to" speak about the future but when we use "will" we are talking about our future intentions which are almost 100%.
When we use "going to" this is a less formal version and it refers to intentions that are not confirmed or 100%.
