I was looking for new professional opportunities out of my country. I submmitted multiple Resumes to different companies, mostly, within the United States. When the first opportunity came, I responded with an email saying that I was not fully bilingual and required the interview in spanish. Obviously, my e-mail was not replied and a I missed an excellent job opportunity.
I understood that I had a negative atitude to face my fear of English and I decide to take a different actitude. The next time I required help from a friend to make some corrections to a draft e-mail to give a good first impression, and from then on I was playing the game with minimum help.
When I made first contact through the phone I was nervious and ansious, but my English was good (At least they understood me, jeje). Actually I am waiting for the background check process and with a little luck, I'll get the job.
The lesson for me was always say "I can do it" and try again and again.
