My Bio and a dream:
"Help Care Service"

I am a 48 year old mom house wife. I am also the mom of four teenagers, three of whom are in college. My high school senior is a special needs child and my husband has had two strokes, blood clots and myasthenia gravis.

He also has diabetes and high blood pressure. I can only work part time because I have to be home to care for him. He is hospital bed bound. I have no one to help with him. Some days can be very stressful and trying. I could have taken the easy road and placed him in a nursing home three years ago, when he had his first stroke, but in my heart I knew it would kill his will to live.

It seem like there are many people like me who have loved ones that are very ill. Most of them do not want to place them in a nursing home but have no other choice. This is one of the reasons I have returned to school.

I want to learn everything I can about healthcare and I want to develop a "help care service" not healthcare. My service will only employ seniors to be caregivers and companions for other seniors. I also feel that the agencies in place today charge way too much.

I plan to charge less than half of what any agency charges in my state and possibly in the whole United States. I also plan to offer free services to as many seniors as I can, who cannot afford anything as a way to help out and give something back. I am also doing this to help my three in college and my special needs child and allow them to have some of the things they need.

I do this also with the hope that if i can make this a success if I can be successful, when I pass on they will continue my work. These last three years have been very hard because my children and I saw our provider and protector who was an extremely strong man struck down with illnesses.

The one thing I know is that if we have made it this far, we will continue to make it with the help of the Lord.

I read your bio and I just wanted to tell you that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Your "help care service" is an amazing idea and we need it...all over the world. Caring for loved ones should not be a matter of being able to afford it. It should be about providing the best care to those we love.

Actually, when I first read your story I thought of SBI (how I made this website). It allowed me to create a site that helps people learn English, without having to know all of the technical parts of building a site. SBI turns passion into a business reality

It is hard work but it might just be what you need to take your "help care service" from a dream to a reality. I know several other SBI owners who are using it to help others. A wonderful example is Sandy Zanny who is collecting knitted squares for a charity in southern Africa.
