routine is a monster that absorbs life if there is no a dynamic attitude. Get out of it...do enjoyable things, things that really fascinate you.

I think, "the less routine" means to try something.
To try something finally makes new oppertunities.
New oppertunities can make more life. We have a job, hobby, famiy and so on because we want more life.

We like to indulge in a bit of planning on all the things that we like to get done (e.g. a career move). But when we get down to actually doing things, we find that the real world throws in a lot more complexities and events that are not considered part of an established routine.
This departure from the 'routine' in most of the events or happenings is what makes life all the more exciting.
I think that the quote points out to this fact.
Thanks

Yes...Diana drew this picture!
I think the worst in life is living in a routine, it is being bored of our lifes, we should do something diferent everyday. If today you want dancing, just stand up and dance, if you want swimming, go go...
Sometimes we do not have enough time to do the things we like, however we can change a boring routine if you tomorrow change the order of your activities, if you always wake up and immediatly go to get dressed, tomorrow change...
First make a big delicious shake and after you can get dressed while you are drinking your delicious shake. You can think about the best fit you will use and the things you want to do in the day... It is easy... just is our decision... KARLA=)
PS: I hope you understand my English haha

All my life is more routine and less life but when I decided to learn English things started changing and I hope to fight fear from my life and get the opportunity to do it.

I agree with you and I think that routine prevents us from enjoying life, I'm not talking about just fun, by "enjoying" I mean appreciating the emotions that we can feel and being able to express ourselves. When you get into a routine, you stop enjoying life.

I think I coudn't agree more about Amos's quote. Routine kills creativity. Variety is the spice of life, so we should change our way of performing our work. Am I right?
Hi, the way it makes me feel is that even when routine is neccessary, change should also be necessary. Everything can be routine but it is how you improve your daily life what makes the routine seem less routine.
Also I think he might have meant to take some risks in life or you might not discover what you are capable of achieving, if you are only stuck comforming to your rountine.

I can see that routine can add postive or negative things in our life. First I would like to focus on the postive side. If we establish routines in our daily life like to read books or learn English words or grammar. I think those will be a good things.
But, if we establish routines in our life like watching tv for hours when we come home from work every single day and not focus on reading or writing I think that will add negative things to our life.

I think finding good friends helps you. We are making our life happy. English is a good opportunity or the best opportunity to open new horizons to gain good experience in our life.

Hello everyone!!
In my opinion Diana is right when she says that the fear of change stops us, especially about jobs or friendships, but when routine is about what should be done at home and for children, unfortunately routine becomes necessary, inevitable.
For example tomorrow I have to iron many clothes!!!!
Lilly
I totally agree Lilly. Children need routine in their lives to make them feel secure and make the day move more smoothly. I have to wash lots of close today too. :( I hate ironing though!

The Less Routine the More Life. Yeah this is true, I think so too...because we can change our life style, but we are lazy for this. I am always trying to change it, but I have not succeeded yet.
For example: I want to learn English but I have other routines, which take a considerable amount of my time. Not than I don`t have time for English.

In my opinion routine is horrible. I know this because my life is very boring I used to do the same thing at the same hour everyday of the week. Even on Sundays, and now I realize reading these pages that I was totally wrong, and my health could be in real danger.
So now I know I have to change my daily routine. Many thanks to the one who wrote this quote; it is interesting and true.

Life has different ways to give us an opportunity to get the things we desire. The routine kills you in different ways and we can change these circumstances, making some of them in a different point of view.
I have a good project to create an excellent place to learn English in my country, because Columbian people are very negative about it.
We need methods of teaching together with new technology, but in many ways money is a big problem here. I want to be a great English teacher and trying to teach with different methodologies that I can get on the Internet!

My opinion is that while doing the same things, everything else is lost. Life is ever-growing. When it stops death comes for you.
Routine does not permit you to learn. There isn't any effort.
So, no learning + no effort inevitably = power goes down.
Most of the time, it is not fear but laziness.
The body is lazy and presses our mind doing nothing!
p.s. excuse me for my writing errors.

I am sharing the opinion of one of the friends below - if your job is your hobby, then you can make it a big part of the boring activities, like a declaration of taxes and further necessary acting with the authorities to the routine, because there is no space for your creativity (sometimes in declaration of taxes only :-) ).
This way you can win a lot of time to your creativity, new opportunities and simply the joy of living.
So I do not think that "the less routine means or brings the more life" but I have some recommendation: simplify your life with a part of routine and enjoy your creative days :-).
Best regards,
Eva

It is sbsolutly true that daily routine can be a disadvatage to learn English or to do other things that you want. The best way to achive anything or get something out of life, is to be flexible with your schedule. By changing your schedule as you see it and fit with your life style. You can accomplish a lot of things in life.
