This fear of failure quote, by Sven Goran Eriksson brings many ideas to mind but the most important issue is our fears.
Why are we so afraid to fail?
Why are you so afraid of making mistakes in English?
This is interesting because most people regret what they didn't do, not what they did do but failed at. There are many different topics or situations that you might fear but it is interesting to face those fears and think...so what? So what if I don't use the right word or verb tense?
Rather than being a prisoner of your fears, I invite you to release yourself from those imagined feelings and just be. Don't think about the hypothetical "what if", just be.
This quote makes me ask myself, what is fear to begin with? How do you describe what it is and how it makes you feel?
When I want some more information or perspective on something I look on the Internet and today I went to Wikipedia.
"Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat that causes animals to move quickly away from the location of the perceived threat, and sometimes hide.
It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger.
In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it (also known as the fight-or-flight response) but in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) a freeze or paralysis response is possible."

Let's talk about the quote some more!
I think that this quote speaks the truth. There is no better way to stop or limit your success than by being afraid of the unknown.
My friend Travis also agrees.
Now that you have heard our interpretations of the quote and what it means...I am curious to know what you think.
Do you agree with my interpretation or do you see it as saying something totally different?
